Ok well the year is Universal Century 0079 and earth has colonized space because too many freakin people are alive (Stupid people) so earth sends people into these colony's called Sides. But one of these sides called Side 7 decides to seperate from earth's control now earth gets pissed and tries to stop them. So these dudes call themselves Zeon and try to get others colony's help to fight against earth. So this war goes on for months and Zeon seems to be winning because of their tech advances like Mobile Suit (Giant robots) and Minovsky particles (radar jamming things). So earth decides to make MS themselves but have to be secretive about it so they send them to a neutral colony. Zeon picks up on this and infiltrates the colony. As the Earth federation is transfering their 9 prototype MS they attack them.
Now the attack causes alot of damage to the colony as well and everyone starts to panic and try to get to the shelters.Amuro a young tech geek decideds to take the situation into his own hands and runs over to the where the fight is (How stupid can you be amuro). Once there he see's that 6 of the MS have been destroyed so he jumps into one (the gundam) Now as giant robot tradition goes he easily pilots it and beats the Zeon's Zaku's down and saves the day but what the battle caused was pretty bad and now the Earth federation's White Base battle cruiser has to take in all these civilians. BUT in the initial attack 90% of the crew died so they don't have any skilled people so they have to hire the civilians to take control of the ship.
So now the Earth fed has a bunch of incompetent people piloting this prototype ship and 3 MS and Zeon is just waiting outside to finish the job. So well looks like they are screwed.
Overall- Well even though this show got cancelled and it is REALLY old it still has its charm but is overrated. 8/10
