The show starts off with a few new recruits for the EF going to earth but encounter a fight between two MS a supped up Zaku and a GM (both Cannon Fodder MS) and the GM is losing bad (GM's are EF MS) and Shiro (the main dude) decides to go out in this old @$$ Ball (some really sucky thing) and takes on the MS. But the fight destroys both MS and they have to escape to a empty ship to survive. Their they work together to survive and discover both sides aren't that bad. At the end they are both picked up by their forces and sent different ways. Shiro goes down to earth to pilot the new ground force gundams.

 

Overall- Besides the MASS plot holes this show is really good with excellent characters and animation.
