yep as read above this is pretty darn new so new it only has 2 of its 5 eps released. Basically its about stuff before SDF-Macross. Before Macross started there was a huge conflict where one side of the earth wanted to unite it and the other didn't thus the unification wars started. This is basically the very end of the conflict. it starts off with Shin (the main characters) explanation of what happened during the unification. Then we see that he is now a fighter pilot (Valks arent done yet) fighting other anti-UN fighters. As we see he kicks @$$ in a fighter. But to bad for him a anti-UN valk shows up (the SV-51) so of course shin pulls off some sweet moves saving his butt......... but gets shot down anyway. So he wakes up on a mayan island with a bunch of natives. Insert dialouge between him and sara the head priestess lady. at the end of the 1st ep sara has a premenition fo the future and of coarse as any anime girl who can do this ONLY see's blood death and destruction (escaflowne anyone) so like 5 secs later a big overhead battle breaks out between roy focker (our fav drunk, womenizing, pimp, ace pilot of macross) his squad of the new VF-0 fighters and some anti-UN fighters including a few anti-UN valks. This battle continues into ep 2.
Here we see shin pilot a damaged VF-0 for the first time and of course just like every other giant robot anime he has to be a ace pilot. well not really he almost gets himself killed doesn't shot down one enemy and is saved by roy. this episode more focosed on the discovery of the AFOS a alien lifeform found in the ocean and shin >attempting< to pilot his valk. This ends with shin watching sara perform some sacred ritual where she can make rocks fly.
overall- well so far this is beyond cool but its not yet done so yeah 9/10
