Here it is Aura Battler Dunbine the show that gave Kill em' all tomino that name.
Dunbine starts off with motorcycle rider Shou riding down the highway after some punks threaten to run him off he pulls off some crazy moves and flies off the top of a car and disappears into thin air. Insert crack head delusion. When he wakes up he is in the courtyard of a castle. The castle guards quickly approach him with swords drawn. He gives up resistance and surrenders. He later finds out that he is not the only person transported from earth he meets an American astronaut called Todd. After a brief association they are explained to that humans from earth can pilot these "Aura Battlers" (Giant robots) much better then people from their world (Byston well) So Todd and Shou along with some other loser get 3 top of the line prototype battlers called dunbines. While flying around they get attacked by another force here the 3rd loser gets killed and Shou gets into a fight with another earth comer called Marvel. Now Shou is over here like dude she's got a hot voice while she is telling him the kingdom led by Drake Zoft is EVIL and HE is WORKING FOR HIM!!!! Now Shou is kinda left to think about it while Marvel and gang leave.
The next day he is to go along with the kings escort to a neighboring province. So he gets onto his armoured hoarse (motorcycle) and everyone gets on their creepy unicorns and go there. After a seemingly peaceful conference with this province once they leave it is attacked by an aura battler! So Shou uses common sense and is like "wow this IS evil" so when he gets back he talks to the princess who is in love with an enemy kingdom's prince and plots to escape. During the escape he and Todd get into a fight and he drops the princess into the forest later she is saved by after another battle is taken back to her father while Shou is now fighting against him... Well thats about 4 eps of its total 49 that I covered. After seeing this I can see where escaflowne got most its ideas from.

This show is beyond cool so cool it got 2 OVA's made for it after its run (hard to believe after its ending though) I would give it a 9.5/10 not a perfect 10 just because of the hair styles of most the characters.
